What goes UP must come DOWN
or
Can i still do things when i am 50 that i did when i was younger?
I have set myself a personal challenge this year, to fund raise for a local charity, I have set myself the UP and DOWN challenge,so in April 2017 i will be climbing Mount Snowdon in Wales, which 1038 meters tall. It is not so much the distance that is the challenge, it is the height and the incline. I have done this trek before, when I was a youngish 43 years old. Now I am 50 and I wonder how much harder it will be this time round? If you have not had the pleasure of visiting Snowdonia, this is a picture of Mount Snowdon.
This will be the first part of my personal fund raising challenge.
The second half of my challenge is to abseil DOWN the Spinaker Tower in Portsmouth. 103 meters tall (or 315 feet) I will abseil down the tower in May 2017. I last went DOWN the tower when I was 45. Will my 50+ nerve hold so that I can do it again? If you have never had the pleasure of visiting the tower, here it is in all it’s glory.
So i have set up a just giving page to attract sponsorship for my challenge, to raise funds for a local charity, if you want to support,me this is the link to my just giving page, it would be very kind and greatly appreciated if you sponsored me- (or called an Air Ambulance at the right time, depending on how my challenge goes)…..
